With the outbreak of deadly decease Covid 19 across the world starting Feb / March, the entire world outlook has changed and realignment can be seen for the survival as well as sustain the current levels . It has thrown new challenges to all businesses whereby the consumer consumption and buying pattern has drastically changed to survival mode with shift towards healthier and organic mode their by offering new opportunities to some and realignment to some.

With passing of time and following of safety norms forwarding of Covid pandemic , economies have started opening up slowly through easing of the lockdown gradually

Now the biggest challenge is to get the business on track to support the small and medium enterprises which have been badly hit due to changes in the consumer preferences during this pandemic.

We remain firm in our commitment to provide 360 degree solution through innovative means by connecting brands, growers , concept owners with the decision makers of Retail , Hospitality and emerging channels across the globe and their respective potential partners .

Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture and Global Food Retail Network have joined hands for providing opportunities to organizations to associate with growers, manufacturers and retailers to increase their business.

Having said that market is very slow due to pandemic but we have something interesting to share that India online grocery market is estimated to exceed sales of about Rs 22,500 crore (US$ 3.19 billion) in 2020, witnessing a significant jump of 76 per cent over the previous year.

India’s e- commerce business will reach US$ 99 billion by 2024, growing at a CAGR of 27 per cent over 2019. Online penetration of retail is expected to reach 10.7 per cent by 2024 versus 4.7 per cent in 2019 where as India’s offline retail revenue which is also known as brick and mortar (B&M) retailers, is expected to increase by Rs 10,000-12,000 crore (US$ 1.39-2.77 billion) in FY20.

India is expected to become the world's third-largest consumer economy, reaching Rs 27.95 lakh crore (US$ 400 billion) in consumption by 2025.

India will become a favorable market for fashion retailers on the back of a large young adult consumer base, increasing disposable income and relaxed FDI norms.

Similarly in hospitality industry total contribution by travel and tourism sector to India’s GDP is expected to increase from Rs 15.24 lakh crore (US$ 234.03 billion) in 2017 to Rs 32.05 lakh crore (US$ 492.21 billion) in 2028. Total earning from the sector in India is targeted to reach US$ 50 billion by 2022.

During 2019, foreign tourist arrivals (FTAs) in India stood at 10.89 million, achieving a growth rate of 3.20 per cent y-o-y. During 2019, FEEs from tourism increased 4.8 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1,94,881 crore (US$ 29.96 billion). In 2019, arrivals through e-Tourist Visa increased by 23.6 per cent y-o-y to 2.9 million.
