  • End to End Value Chain Collaboration : A major subset of value chain production development work is concerned with the ways of linking producers to companies and hence into the value chains. GFRN facilitates Industry FPO collaboration to improve market linkages by integrating the value chain, increasing market accessibility and enabling small holders to attract and negotiate with larger buyer and grow their business.
  • Advocacy : GFRN represents the Food & Retail industry interests on policy issues by voicing the industry’s views to Government on issues including value chain, certification, food safety, trade, research, and regulations. By uniting diverse sector, GFRN represents the food & retail industry on national issues, diversifying the food basket and promoting India’s food & retail at global level, and provide accurate, helpful information on matters pertaining to International & National statistics and policy regulations.
  • Trade Facilitation : GFRN will be holding Technical Seminars & Interactive Meetings across the globe to promote Indian Food & Retail sector. Also, the targeted promotional activities will include participations in international exhibitions, organizing trade events, brand promotion etc. This will give rise to the trust between consumer and Industry and will strengthen the long term relationship.
  • Capacity Building and Exposure Visits : GFRN will be undertaking On-field demonstrations, Food Safety Management Course, District Level Training programs for FPOs, Exposure Visits (Domestic Study Tour / Overseas Study Tour) to increase their awareness about the international market demand so as to improve on post-harvest management practices, manufacturing practices, industrial regulations and various special treatments.

    The training cum exposure visit being organized by GFRN will provide an opportunity to the participants to gain exposure to the modern production, processing and marketing technologies in Food and Retail sector. The exposure visits will facilitate great opportunities for agro-processing, manufacturing and retail in India and the possibilities that exist to develop sustainable business relations between India and other foreign countries.
  • Product Launch : Branding products, especially in the food industry, is seen as incredibly important. Creating an eye catching brand can help you stand out from your competitors and help you to engage with your customers. Global Food Retail Network via its events will provide unlimited opportunities for businesses to present their companies and showcase their products for a wonderful networking experience. They can find customers from all around the world and introduce new products to create a bigger market for their new launches.
  • Technology Transfer : Technological developments in the food industry are defining the way food is sourced and marketed while creating new growth opportunities in the industry. Research in this field helps in finding new pathways on all aspects of food science, nutrition and other interdisciplinary fields. GFRN will facilitate the collaboration of laboratory developing the technology and the industry receiving the technology maintaining synergy between both the domains.
  • Delegation inbound and outbound : Global Food Retail Network is not only tasked with promoting India as a business destination for companies around the world, but to also introduce new international markets to Indian companies to explore as a possible location to do business. GFRN researches, plans and coordinates outbound trade mission for different Food Trade Events as well as hosts multiple inbound business delegations from all over the world.
